Our Process

How we judge the best tools

Most pages that review tools, just stick a bunch together without ever using them and without actually see what other people think. We really do our research here so you will only see the best tools that are proven to work.

01
We use them

Our team has tried and used every tool we recommend. This means we really know how it works and can give a first hand opinion.

02
We study reviews

We look at G2 which is the king of software review sites and Trustpilot where possible. Social proof is always very important.

03
We understand entrepreneurs

We make sure it is not just a great tool but that it is great specifically for Entrepreneurs.

*some links (not most) may be affiliate links but we justify all our decisions with data and you can see exactly why we pick each tool plus the alternatives

Best Time Management tool for Entrepreneurs: Akiflow

89% of entrepreneurs say poor time management hurts their growth—mastering your time means mastering your business, boosting focus, cutting stress, and seizing opportunities before the competition.

Akiflow is a premier digital planner and calendar for centralising tasks, unifying schedules, and optimising productivity.

How it Helps You As an Entrepreneur

A life-changing Productivity Co-pilot

This tool is like having a personal assistant who never takes a coffee break. It syncs your tasks and calendar into one sleek dashboard, so you can stop wasting time toggling between apps and start focusing on what actually matters—building your empire.

Reviews

G2 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5.0) Trustpilot ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.1)

G2 gave it 5 Stars from 33 Reviews. This is genuinely amazing. We use G2 a lot and it is so rare to see 5 Stars even if 33 isn't a huge number of reviews. Also, Akiflow is over 4 stars on Trustpilot which is higher than any of the competitors

Why We Love It at Hustletrack

Simple but very powerful

At Hustletrack, we’ve tested more productivity tools than we’d like to admit (seriously, it’s bordering on obsession), and Akiflow is a standout. Why? Because it doesn’t try to be everything. It’s not drowning in features you’ll never use; it’s laser-focused on helping you do more with less stress and it is bloody good at it. It also has a new Rituals features which helps you stick to personal habits. One of our consultants now has a six-pack thanks to that feature so take from that what you will

Downsides

The Price

It’s not the cheapest option out there. While it’s worth every penny for the efficiency gains, solopreneurs on a tight budget might hesitate at the price tag. That is why we have fantastic second place cheaper tool below

Cost of Tool

$19/Month

The cost just went up so you are now looking at $19/month. While that’s not pocket change, think of it as an investment in your sanity. If you’re an entrepreneur, every minute saved is a potential revenue opportunity

Second Place Tool

BeforeSunset.AI

We looked at tools like Motion and To-do-list which had flaws which the reviews echoed. Motion (who advertises their AI calendar A LOT) was down below 3 stars on Trustpilot. But we loved a tool called BeforeSunset and it nearly won, just wasn't as polished as Akiflow but it is WAY cheaper and worth looking at

Best Project Management Tool for Entrepreneurs: Notion

Notion blends your everyday work apps into one. It’s an all-in-one workspace for you and has great project management features.

Project Management was the hardest category to decide as there is stiff competition but we believe for ENTREPRENEURS and SOLOPRENEURS specifically, this is the best tool and the one we use ourselves.

How it Helps You As an Entrepreneur

Versatile Project Management

Notion is the ultimate Swiss Army knife for entrepreneurs juggling 1,000 things at once. Whether you’re planning your next product launch, tracking leads, or building your next genius business idea, Notion makes it easy to keep everything (and everyone) in one place. Its modular design lets you customise dashboards, task lists, and even full-blown CRMs without breaking a sweat—or your budget. You can collaborate with your team, centralise your chaotic Google Docs, and turn scattered sticky notes into beautifully organised workflows. It’s perfect for the entrepreneur who wears 17 hats a day and still manages to squeeze in a coffee.

Reviews

G2 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7) Trustpilot ⭐⭐⭐ (3.1)

G2 gave it 4.7 Stars from 6000+ Reviews. This is very good and we personally know a lot of Notion users. The Trustpilot scores were 3 stars or lower for EVERY big project management tool except Monday.com (3.8) but that tool we felt had a lot more negativity on Reddit so it was a tough one to judge. When we looked at why it was all so low on Trustpilot, it was to do with billing issues which now seem to be sorted.

Why We Love It at Hustletrack

It does a lot of things well (for free)

We’ve used Notion to map out content calendars, track client projects, and even brainstorm new revenue streams. (Spoiler: we planned half of Hustletrack using a Notion board!) Its flexibility fits our entrepreneurial vibe like a glove. Want a database? Done. Need a mood board? Easy. Fancy a habit tracker? Notion says, “Hold my coffee.” We love how it’s a one-stop shop for planning and execution. Plus, the ability to link pages is like discovering a secret passage in a library – nerdy, but oh so satisfying.

Downsides

Jack of All Trades

The same reason we love it, is it's weakness. Its versatility can be overwhelming, especially if you’re someone who likes things served on a silver platter. Collaboration in real-time isn’t quite as slick as some tools like Asana or ClickUp, and the mobile app isn’t always as fluid as the desktop version.

Cost of Tool

Free (Yay!)

The free plan is generous, offering unlimited pages and blocks for individuals. For teams, the paid plans start at $8/month per user, unlocking extra features like admin tools and advanced permissions.

Second Place Tools

ClickUp, Asana, Trello, Airtable

As we said, at the start of this one. It was hard to decide. These are all good tools with 100000s of users. They all have free plans (although more restrictive that Notions) too so you can test them out. A lot of this is personal preference. Trello is a great option for simple task management with its visual boards. Asana offers streamlined project tracking for team collaboration, while ClickUp tries to do it all with bells and whistles galore. If you’re feeling fancy, Airtable brings spreadsheet and database magic into one tool.

Best Workflow Automation Tool for Entrepreneurs: Make.com

Workflow automation is essential for entrepreneurs as it streamlines repetitive tasks, ensuring efficiency and consistency while reducing operational costs. It allows entrepreneurs to focus on strategic growth and innovation, helping their businesses scale effectively.

This category was mainly between two players.  Make.com and Zapier. So, let’s explore why Make.com came out on top.

How it Helps You As an Entrepreneur

Speeding up Key Tasks

At HustleTrack, we know that time is money, and Make.com is like having additional workers in your team doing tasks that would take you hours! With its intuitive drag-and-drop interface, you can automate repetitive tasks, freeing up precious time to focus on growing your business. Imagine setting up automated workflows to send personalized emails to new leads, updating your CRM with customer interactions, and generating weekly performance reports—all without lifting a finger. You can also automate social media posting schedules, ensuring consistent engagement with your audience, or set up payment reminders to be sent to clients automatically. Whether it's managing customer data, streamlining your marketing campaigns, or automating your invoicing process.

Reviews

G2 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7) Trustpilot ⭐⭐⭐ (3.6)

G2 gave it 4.7 Stars from 220+ Reviews. This is very good and we personally know a lot of Notion users. The Trustpilot scores were 3.6 which is drastically better than the 1.4 Star of Zapier. Entrepreneurs rave about its flexibility, with many claiming it’s their “go-to automation tool.” That said, some find its learning curve steeper than they’d like, especially for beginners. A few tech-savvy reviewers mention that the complexity is worth it once you grasp the basics—it’s like upgrading from a paper map to GPS.

Why We Love It at Hustletrack

It is like having Extra Team Members

At Hustletrack, we’ve had a proper love affair with make.com. It’s been our secret sauce for keeping the chaos in check. No more repetitive tasks bogging us down; instead, we’ve got workflows doing the heavy lifting while we brainstorm the next big thing. It's like hiring an overachieving assistant who never complains about overtime. The thrill of seeing a perfectly executed automation is real—just like seeing a viral post after weeks of tumbleweed.

Downsides

Learning Curve

While we adore make.com, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. For one, it’s a bit of a brain workout to get started. If you’re not a tech whiz, prepare for a few "what on earth am I doing?" moments. Additionally, if you’re running complex workflows, you might find yourself itching for faster execution speeds. It’s not slow, but in a world of instant gratification, it’s not lightning-fast either.

Cost of Tool

Free or $8/month+

Make.com has a free plan, which is surprisingly generous—perfect for testing the waters. Paid plans start at £8/month for solo hustlers and go up depending on the size and complexity of your workflows. Fair warning: if you’re the type to go automation-mad (it happens), costs can creep up, but honestly, it’s worth it for the time saved. It’s cheaper than a full-time VA, that’s for sure.

Second Place Tools

Zapier

Despite the savage Trustpilot reviews (which are very harsh), it is still a massive tool used by 100000s of businesses around the world and for many it is the king of automation tools. The main issue we have with it, apart from some reviews, are the prices, it isn't cheap.
